Crash damages Olive Branch traffic signal; drivers urged to avoid area

A motor vehicle crash Saturday night damaged a traffic signal at the intersection of Centerhill Road and DeSoto Road in Olive Branch, the Olive Branch Police Department said.

DeSoto Electric crews were on scene to repair the traffic light, the department said.

The department’s post, signed by Mayor Ken Adams, urged motorists to avoid the area if possible and warned the roadway could be closed at times during repairs, which could cause significant traffic delays.

The post thanked drivers for their patience and cooperation as crews work to restore the intersection safely, the department said.
