Baptist Cancer Center to provide breast cancer screenings at Tanger Pink Party
SOUTHAVEN, Miss. (Sept. 17, 2025) — Baptist Cancer Center-Desoto and Baptist Women’s Health Center will join other regional health care providers for the annual Tanger Pink Party, offering free breast cancer screenings and education from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, at Tanger Outlets Southaven.
Baptist’s mobile mammography unit will be on-site to provide screenings and information about breast health. Uninsured patients can register for screenings with help from Northeast Mississippi Health Care and the Mississippi Breast and Cervical Program. Appointments are encouraged and can be scheduled by calling 901-227-PINK.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to support Baptist Cancer Center’s Patient Assistance Fund, which helps patients cover costs for medication, medical equipment, transportation and other essential needs. Donations of $20 or more will receive a coupon card valid for discounts at participating Tanger Southaven stores throughout October.
Baptist Cancer Center delivers comprehensive cancer care across Arkansas, Mississippi and Tennessee through Baptist Memorial Health Care. Services include treatment, research, support programs, community education and the region’s first genetic counseling and testing program for cancer. The center also houses the Mid-South’s only adult myelosuppression unit and is one of 45 National Cancer Institute Community Oncology Research Program (NCORP) grant sites nationwide offering advanced clinical trials.
In 2020, Baptist Memorial Health Care launched the Mid-South Miracle initiative, aiming to reduce lung cancer deaths in the region by 25 percent by 2030.
