Arrest made after shooting at Olive Branch hotel

Olive Branch Police Saturday arrested a Horn Lake man accused of shooting an unnamed victim at the Hilton Garden Inn in Olive Branch shortly after 12 noon.  

Officers were called to the hotel on a report of shots being fired at approximately 12:06 p.m. Saturday. The hotel is located at 7890 Craft-Goodman Frontage Road. 

When they arrived, the officers found a victim with gunshot wounds who was then taken to a hospital and is reportedly in critical condition.

A suspect, Alvin J. Myles Jr., age 24 of Horn Lake, was later found and taken into custody. 

No further details were immediately provided by police, who say the incident is still under investigation.  

Myles is in the DeSoto County Adult Detention Center in Hernando on attempted murder charges and is being held on $1 million bond.  A court date has been set of Thursday morning, Feb. 2, at 9 a.m.
