Mayor Ken Adams and the Olive Branch Board of Aldermen will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, at the City Municipal Court Building, the city said. The meeting is open to the public and will be live streamed on the city’s YouTube channel.

The City of Olive Branch said Monique LaBonte has joined its Animal Shelter and Animal Control Department, a move welcomed by Mayor Ken Adams and the Board of Aldermen.

Organizers said a pancake breakfast and character meet-and-greet featuring the Easter Bunny and SpongeBob SquarePants friends will be held tomorrow from 9 a.m. to noon at Longview Point Baptist Church. All proceeds will benefit Hernando Parks, organizers said.

The Olive Branch Police Department offered condolences to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department after Deputy Michael Jimerson was killed in the line of duty last night, the department said. The city identified Mayor Ken Adams in the statement and said Jimerson’s family and colleagues were in its thoughts and prayers.
