Northwest Mississippi Community College said it hosted Friends After 5 Thursday night at the Ranger Center, bringing community professionals together to share ideas and expand their networks.

The City of Olive Branch said 68 volunteers joined the Mayor’s Youth Council for a Community Clean Up Day at City Park. The city said it offers free cleanup kits to residents and groups that pledge to clear roads, intersections or neighborhoods.

Elizabeth Flowers, a member of the Mayor’s Youth Council, spent the week paging for Speaker Jason White at the Capitol, the City of Olive Branch said. The city’s post, signed by Mayor Ken Adams, said Flowers is a senior finishing her second year with the council.
